For three consecutive years, FEU Advocate has bagged Organization of Student Services Educators, Inc.’s (OSSEI) writing competition awards, counting its latest last January 21 to 23 at the University Hotel, University of the Philippines-Diliman.

Raffy Christopher Dominguez, News Editor, won third place in news writing while Ardie Aquino, senior illustrator, placed fifth in editorial cartooning.

With more than 80 campus journalists from different colleges and universities nationwide, some participating schools were De La Salle University-Lipa, Universidad de Sta. Isabela, Laguna State Polytechnic University-Siniloan and Capiz State University.

Participants competed in five categories: News Writing, Editorial Writing, Photojournalism, Editorial Cartooning and Page Design and Layout.

The annual event provides avenue for skills development of students through seminars and competitions.
