As elected officers of Association of Law Students in the Philippines, Inc. (ALSP), six law students will represent Far Eastern University (FEU) in Indonesia on January 15 to 22.
Chosen FEU delegates for the Asian conference were Giancarlo Capco, ALSP national board-Vice President for Southern Luzon; Charlotte Silungan, president; Zilpah Sagaysay, ALSP-National Capital Region PRO; and Ryan Flores, ALSP national board- PRO.
Together with the delegates are Ian Encarnacion, International Board Representative for Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) and JC Asuncion.
The event joins together law students from other countries to gather and discuss the latest issues and resolute ideas. There are also representatives from European Law Students’ Association and Australian Law Students’ Association.
“As officers of ALSP, we get to be chosen for the conference. We will be discussing about global legal investments and issues on international relations. ,” Capco said.
Filling other spots of the nationwide ALSP organization are FEU students Aaron Anonuevo as ALSP Executive Director and Russ Parcia as Academic Committee member.
ALSP, Inc. is the central organization of law student governments in the Philippines while ALSA is a non-political association of Asian law students composed of 10 countries which include Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia.
Mr. Giancarlo Capco the National Vice President of the Association of Law Students of the Philippines / ALSA Philippines a resident of Pateros and Charlotte Silungan the NCR Regional Chairwoman a resident of Manila brought home honor for their country and their school Far Eastern University Institue of Law for being part of the winning Commission in the ALSA AC Indonesia 2010 Search for the Best Commission Convention. Part of the delegation was Mr. Ian Encarnacion who participated as the delegate in the ALSA General Council meeting which was held simultaneoulsy with the commission search.
